School

During the refugee crisis the Church of Glyfada started helping refugees in the area of education.

We began with two teachers offering classes to children and teenagers. We quickly discovered that many adult men and women were requesting classes as well, and so we added a third assistant teacher. Our goal is not to replace formal education but to provide an environment where refugees are treated as equals. That is why this project was embraced by the church family who welcomed refugees at their homes.

We also endeavor to help our students familiarize themselves with the city through group field trips (museums, zoos, etc). This educational ministry has been embraced by our church family as they welcome refugees into their homes and lives.
